Jim has worked extensively to encourage youth to make education a priority and has worked in partnership with post-secondary institutions to develop scholarships and strengthen the quality of programs and experiences available to Indigenous students. His long-standing association with the Keyano College which includes serving on the Board of Governors as as vice-chair of the College for 6 years (1988-1994).
